How do I control my SPAM settings? |
|
You want to reduce the number of SPAM emails entering your mailbox!
impressM uses BarricadeMX+ and combines several Real-Time Black Lists
(RBLs), various filters, and white/black lists to combat spam before it
enters any of our servers. However, if you receive legitimate email
marked as 'SPAM' from sources you trust, you may login to the gateway (http://gateway.impressm.com/)
using your email address and password, and add those people or domains
to your 'white list'. This is a list of people who email you, that
should never be marked as spam. It is recommended to include automated
addresses on this list as well.
For example, if you receive a bank statement via email, include the
address from which the bank sends out email on your white list. In the
Add to White List Address field, add in the email address that you want
to be received regardless of whether it is Spam or Not Spam (in the
format of name@address.com/.net/.org etc.). Wildcards can be used on this list (i.e. *@somedomain.com, fred*@somedomain.com or *@*.somedomain.com )
Also available from the gateway is a list of emails delivered or not
delivered. A message may not have been delivered because of a bad
attachment, SPAM or virus. Once you login, you will be able to see any
message being blocked, and optionally release them.
