Are CMS sites Search Engine friendly? Will my site be indexed? |
You may have heard that dynamic sites, or content managed sites are not crawled by search engines. This is wrong!
This myth is based on some truth. Search engines like Google will
ignore areas of a site that require a login. Also, some early content
management systems used very long and strange urls that often changed
every time you accessed the website. These urls were ignored by Google.
However, both Google and the programming community have learned, and
today, this is much less of an issue. In fact, some of the biggest and
most popular websites today are content managed. It is the only way to
deal with large sites and a great way to control a small one too.
Simply stated, all the content managed websites we create are search
engine friendly. Search Engines crawl the web looking for content, and
